RSM specialize in the manufacture of medium to large size slewing rings with a minimum 200mm bore up to 8,000 mm diameter as monobloc systems and segmental bearings up to 10,000 mm in diameter. We manufacture a full range of slewing bearings that cater for a variety of industrial, mining & materials handling applications.

RSM collaborates with a French company by the name of ATHOS in the production of all our slewing rings and while ATHOS is a relatively young company it certainly comes with a lot of experience and superfluous credentials. ATHOS is run by Pierre Bonhomme, a man that has been in the slewing bearing business since 1974. In his 35 years of experience he has run both ROLLIX DEFONTAINE  &  BRB TECHNOLOGIE

ATHOS was pivotal in the successful selection of our manufacturing plant and oversees all technical aspects of production and quality control. RSM has worked and continues to work closely with ATHOS on all of the above aspects but our primary role is to deal with the commercial complexities of running the business including marketing our bearings and dealing with existing and prospective clients on a day to day basis. Together with ATHOS, RSM is able to ensure our clients receive professional service and a first class product at very competitive prices.

We also produce a full range of ball and roller bearings that are manufactured in a separate factory that was chosen after much research & careful consideration, the factory is a U.S & Chinese joint venture. We manufacture medium to large size ball and roller bearings with a minimum 300mm bore up to a 3000mm diameter.

Ones primary concern with anything coming out of china is always quality, so we introduced a mandatory third party certification of every bearing prior to sale/delivery. China is well known for cutting corners and manufacturing substandard products, Chinese bearings manufacturers in particular have a poor reputation, this however is definitely not a rule.

Unfortunately at present there is very little positive publicity, as the masses of quality products that are coming out of China do not attract the media’s attention. Its only when things go wrong that any real attention is paid. One simple fact is that nearly every major manufacturer in today’s world either manufactures in china or at the very least imports certain parts for their production lines. All your major bearing manufacturers now have plants in China itself.
